Note: The applicant needs to provide a clear representation of the trademark on the trademark application form. If a clear representation is not provided, the application will not be accepted. In case of any changes in the applicant's name or address, a document proving the change must be submitted.

 

 

The time required for trademark registration in the United Kingdom is as follows:

  1. After submitting the application, the UK Intellectual Property Office will conduct an examination of the trademark within one year. If the examination is successful, a registration certificate will be issued.

  2. The registration process for a trademark in the UK usually takes around 4-6 months, but the specific duration depends on the complexity of the trademark examination. It is worth noting that when applying for a trademark in the UK, one can simultaneously apply for both an EU trademark and a UK trademark. In case the application for a UK trademark is unsuccessful, there is an option to submit an application for an EU trademark.
